Tittle:- Practical of Parenchyma,Aerenchyma
Aim of the experiment
To study the permanent tissue (Parenchyma,Aerenchyma,Chlorenchyma)
Procedure:-
Cut a thin section T.S of the supplied speciemen (Sunflower,stem,bannana petiole and tuberos)and stain with chloro-zinc-iodine solution and observed under the compound microscope.
Observation:-
(i)Parenchyma:- Speciemen of sunflower stem.Parenchyma is made up of cells with cellulose cell walls uniformly thin with intercellular spaces ,cell isodiametric or sloghtly elongated longitudinally ,cells with vacuolate protoplast .It may be reduced to 1 or 2 layers outside the vascular bundle .Some isolated resin ducts each surrounded by a layer of small thin walled living cells can also seen
(ii) Aerenchyma:- Speciment of petiole bannana Aerenchyma is a spongy tissue that froms spaces or air channels in the leaves ,stems and roots of someplants. The large air filled cavities provide a low resistance internal pathway for the exchange of gases between the plant organs above the water and the submerge tissue.
(iii)Chlorenchyma:- Specimen of heberos such chlorenchyma chloroplast containing parenchyma cells concerned with photosynthesis are called chlorenchyma .Chlorenchyma tissue that contains chloroplasts and is photosynthetic chlorenchyma makes up the mesophyll tissue of plant leaves and is also found in the stems of certain plant species.
Identification:-
(i) The tissue is the functional parts of an organ or of a structure such a temor body known as_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _parenchyma.
(ii)Parenchyma cells are essential for activities like _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _photosynthesis,storage etc.
(iii)The tissue is a spongy tissue that forms spaces or air channels in the leaves ,stem and plants which allows the exchange of gose called as_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _aerenchyma.
(iv)The tissue makes up the mesophyll tissue of plant leaves and is also found in the stems of contain plant species known as _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _chlorenchyma.
(v)Chlorenchyma is containt of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ chloroplast and photosynthesis.
Conclusion:-
From the all the above characters it is proved as a permanent tissue
